Electroluminescent Displays (EL Displays) are a thin, durable illuminated display.
EL Displays are dynamic, eye catching, cost effective and versatile.
The effect looks similar to a video display, however is cheaper, lighter, more flexible, more durable and uses much less power.
They can be made as a “illuminated carpet” for a floor display, mounted / installed almost anywhere, even wrapped around a curved surface.

The only draw back compared with video is that it can only display a single message sequence, which is built in during manufacturing.
EL Displays are manufactured by printing an electronic circuit on film, with special ink that produces light, which an electric charge runs through the ink printed circuit.
There is scope for different inks to produce different light colours, including a bright white.
A film is laminated over the top of the electric circuit, with the message printed on it, to produce a durable electroluminescent “sandwich”.
The image can be any style of artwork, from simple spot colour through photo realistic, to convey your advertising message in an extremely eye catching way.

As EL displays are illuminated they are ideal in variable lighting, such as bars and night clubs.

eInk – ePaper produces a similar effect, relying on ambient light, as distinct from the intrinsic illumination of EL displays
